URIAH HEEP Look At Yourself (1971 UK first issue 7-track LP
on Bronze with 'P 1971' label credit, pressed by Island, the
heaviest Uriah Heep record, complete with lyric inner, silver
mirror picture sleeve ILPS9169)
See 'More Info' for further details on condition ...
TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
This is the first issue with just P 1971 below the titles on the label and 'Manufactured And Distributed By Island Records' at the bottom.
The matrices are:
ILPS 9169 A1-U
ILPS 9169 B1-U
Condition:
Because of the sleeve design, these were always getting scuffed and torn. This copy has fared better than most.
There is one small 'ding' to the sleeve edge in the top left corner and a couple of small tears at the edge recess of the silver mirror but otherwise just a little edge scuffing. It still looks good and retains that 'vintage' feel without passing into 'tatty'.
There is a split to the middle of the bottom seam of the inner, but otherwise it too has fared much better than most.
The vinyl remains in VG+/EX- condition. There is evidence of play and a few light surface hairlines on both sides but it does play through without fault, having retained its sonics. Some surface noise in quiet passages [not that there are many] should be expected.
All in all a very acceptable first press collection filler at an advantageous price.
Not mint, no, but not too shabby either.
Tracklisting:
1. Look at Yourself
2. I Wanna Be Free
3. July morning
4. Tears In My Eyes
5. Shadows Of Grief
6. What Should Be done
