That incarnation of  the band was unlike anything else touring at the time, built  around three drummers, Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin and Pat  Mastelotto, stationed across the front of the stage, an  arrangement Fripp described as turning rhythm into a  moving, interlocked engine.
